PLEASE PRAY FOR NOAH

I have been following a blog by a dear Christian couple, Kate & Jeff Estes. One of their children, Noah, has mitochondrial disease. You can go read up on this at your leisure but, suffice it to say, it's dangerous, life-consuming and there is no cure. He's such a cute little thing, around 3 years old, I think. They have a lot of kids. Still, these two never fail to amaze me in their capacity to love them all and still take care of Noah, which is two full-time jobs in itself!

Right now, Noah is facing another very serious health crisis and is headed back to the hospital. Would you please send up prayers for this sweet baby? Noah has endured more in his short life than most of us will ever be asked to in a million years. Here's the blog address:

Leave a comment, provided you can uplift and edify these Godly but worn-out parents. Kate reads every one while she's in the hospital with Noah and they give her comfort. Recently, there have been some less than Godly comments so, please, let's get on there and lift these sweet folks up.

  1. I have been praying for little Noah but that comment was inappropriate at best as they are working so hard to follow the Lord's guidance for their son. They have done everything no matter how difficult for their son and I don't see where they are doing any of it outside God's will.

Luke was a dr. Why is it that some believe that any medical intervention thwarting God?

I keep thinking of that old story where the man is on the housetop shoeing away the helicopter and boats. When he gets to heaven he asks why God didn't save him and was told..."well I sent you a helicopter and some boats!"

  3. My children suffer from mitochondrial disease. We fight the disease. We fight the uneducated drs at times. We fight the family who thinks the kids have been sick long enough and should "just get over it". Mito like other chronic diseases is not easy to understand. Even medicine is struggling to come up with a complete view of the disease. I thank you for your Godly view on this. Support and prayer will work wher medicine and science are lost.

    God bless
